Hi, my name is Jessica Onions and welcome to Layers Cake Design! I
have been sketching, doodling, painting and drawing since the age of
eight. At about that time, I started watching my mother create
scrumptious cakes in the kitchen on holidays and for special
occasions. All that taste testing must have had a big effect on me
becasue baking and cake decorating turned into a hobby down the road.With
a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and Art, and a Design graduate of the Art
Institute of Pittsburgh, I have been designing and creating both edible
and non-edible creations in my spare time while operating a successful
real estate business. However, when my passion for art collided with
my love of baking and cake decorating, a perfect fusion occurred!
Layers Cake Design business was born! Now, I dedicate all my time to
providing the finest cake creations in both taste and design, to my
clients. I am certified by the Wilton Industries in fondant techniques
and tiered cake
construction, as well as many other special cake decorating techniques.
